Monthly Archives: October 2010

it’s official…

We have officially entered the age of extreme curiosity…

as well as the age of the tantrum.

God help us!

hi

Hi little blog, just popping my head in to say that I haven’t forgotten about you.  I’m currently in the process of finishing up editing hundreds of photos from a wedding and trying to complete an online defensive driving course, bleh. I miss being here during my few short and sweet “computer” moments…

And yesterday my baby turned 11 months old. How did that happen? Is it really possible that in a short month we will be celebrating her birthday?

Last October this was me (and my little pumpkin girl).  And on our annual trip to a local farm.

And now…

A pumpkin-themed birthday party is being planned and it’s going to be perfect.

Our November pumpkin almost one!

Photos of the Space Needle and the rest of beautiful Seattle (and other Washington outings we did!) will be up just as soon as I can get back on top of these other time-sensitive projects.

Now back to defensive driving…

washington part one

There is just so much about our trip that I loved.  Despite the fact that our return home was rough (and both of my babies ended up with ear infections due to colds + plane ride home), we all look back on our trip with hearts brimming full of love and amazement.  Although the beaches, farms, big cities (Seattle!) and all the stuff we got out and did were SO much fun, I think my favorite part was the moments spent in the comfort of home.  Their sweet little 1920′s farmhouse sits on an acre that is filled with fruit trees, berry bushes, lush grass and gorgeous flowers.  The acre is nestled among a few other homes and sits right on a small bay, but also in the middle of forestry that blew my Texan mind.  The massive hemlocks and alien green moss were pure beauty.  It is truly like a whole other world there in Washington.

While at home we relaxed in our warm sweats and enjoyed the 50 something degree weather while the sun and rain took their turns throughout the day.  While sipping on coffee or tea, munching on fresh pears from the backyard and talking about life, my sister and I listened happily to the sounds our our babies all laughing, playing and fighting with each other.  It. was. bliss.

And since I feel like I’m better communicating through images than words, I’ll stop writing here.
