weekend farm visit

So we made it to the corn maze farm this past weekend!  It was a fun adventure overall, maybe even a little bit scary.  I’m a 9 month pregnant woman trekking into long and complicated corn mazes on a farm in the middle of nowhere, what was I thinking?  We enjoyed the beautiful day and the family time and even discovered a Dairy Queen on the way home to stop at for some ice cream.  We miss Texas!  We also managed to carve our giant pumpkin, roast the seeds and bake some brownies-yum!  In baby news, we just had a last ultrasound to check up on little sis and she looks beautiful and healthy.  We can’t wait to lay eyes on her sweet face!  Now we just wait.  Prayers for a smooth and easy birth day please!

Hope you are all enjoying the fall weather and blessings!

new seasons

Hello Family and Friends!  I hope to find you all doing well and enjoying some cooler fall weather- we sure are!  We are officially settled into a new home and new routine here in Lawton and have been enjoying some great family time while Daddy has had a little more time off from work.  We have been exploring our new community and enjoying all the things that fall has brought along with it including Oktoberfest (delicious german food!), beautiful outdoor colors, refreshing playground weather and of course pumpkins.  There is another season that we are looking forward to- becoming an official family of four.  Baby Sister has now officially spent 37 weeks in Mama’s tummy and we are anxiously awaiting her arrival!  Asher really enjoys our weekly visits to the birthing center and loves to play “doctor” with our wonderful midwives who let him help with everything from measuring Mama’s tummy to using the doppler to find Sis’s heartbeat.  Please keep us all in your prayers as we prepare for and welcome our new family member into the world.  And while requesting prayers I would ask that you all continue to pray for our soldiers that have been lost in and that are currently deployed in Afghanistan.  They are constantly in our hearts and minds.

And now a few recent photos, possibly the last before Sister’s big debut (we are hoping to make it to a local farm this weekend, so maybe a few Asher-pumpkin-farm photos will make their way in before…)

Love and Blessings to you all!
